Proteger-se

to protect oneself

Regular verb, spelling change, gerund protegendo-se, past participle protegido.

  • Me, se, nos

In Brazil the pronoun comes before the verb, eu me protejo, and before the participle, gerund, or infinitive: tinha se protegido. Written commands put it after: proteja-se; speech says se protege.
