Conjugation

Sfidarsi

to challenge oneself

Regular -are verb, gerund sfidandosi, past participle sfidato, auxiliary essere.

  • Mi, ti, si

The pronoun comes before the verb, mi sfido, and before the auxiliary: mi sono sfidato. It attaches to commands, sfidati, and to the infinitive and the gerund. A ban to tu has two orders: non sfidarti / non ti sfidare.

Lei, the polite you, takes the form of lui / lei: Lei parla.

After essere, the participle agrees with the subject: andato, andata, andati, andate.
