Regular -are verb, gerund separandosi, past participle separato, auxiliary essere.
Mi, ti, si
The pronoun comes before the verb, mi separo, and before the auxiliary: mi sono separato. It attaches to commands, separati, and to the infinitive and the gerund. A ban to tu has two orders: non separarti / non ti separare.
Lei, the polite you, takes the form of lui / lei: Lei parla.
After essere, the participle agrees with the subject: andato, andata, andati, andate.
