Conjugation

Lievitare

to rise

Regular -are verb, gerund lievitando, past participle lievitato, auxiliary essere.

  • Avere or essere

Here lievitare takes essere: l'impasto è lievitato. With a direct object it takes avere: ha lievitato l'impasto.

Lei, the polite you, takes the form of lui / lei: Lei parla.

After essere, the participle agrees with the subject: andato, andata, andati, andate.
