Conjugation

Esercitarsi

to practice

Regular -are verb, gerund esercitandosi, past participle esercitato, auxiliary essere.

  • Mi, ti, si

The pronoun comes before the verb, mi esercito, and before the auxiliary: mi sono esercitato. It attaches to commands, esercitati, and to the infinitive and the gerund. A ban to tu has two orders: non esercitarti / non ti esercitare.

Lei, the polite you, takes the form of lui / lei: Lei parla.

After essere, the participle agrees with the subject: andato, andata, andati, andate.
