Coprirsi

to cover oneself

Regular verb, irregular participle, gerund coprendosi, past participle coperto, auxiliary essere.

  • Mi, ti, si

The pronoun comes before the verb, mi copro, and before the auxiliary: mi sono coperto. It attaches to commands, copriti, and to the infinitive and the gerund. A ban to tu has two orders: non coprirti / non ti coprire.

  • Passato remoto

The passato remoto has two series: coprii, coprì, coprirono, shown here, and copersi, coperse, copersero, also correct but less common.

Lei, the polite you, takes the form of lui / lei: Lei parla.

After essere, the participle agrees with the subject: andato, andata, andati, andate.
