Aspettarsi

to expect

Regular -are verb, gerund aspettandosi, past participle aspettato, auxiliary essere.

Conjugated like scavare, migliorare, monitorare, limitarsi, rassettare, allevare

  • Mi, ti, si

The pronoun comes before the verb, mi aspetto, and before the auxiliary: mi sono aspettato. It attaches to commands, aspettati, and to the infinitive and the gerund. A ban to tu has two orders: non aspettarti / non ti aspettare.

Lei, the polite you, takes the form of lui / lei: Lei parla.

After essere, the participle agrees with the subject: andato, andata, andati, andate.
