Conjugation

Allungarsi

to get longer

Regular verb, ch, gh before e and i, gerund allungandosi, past participle allungato, auxiliary essere.

  • Mi, ti, si

The pronoun comes before the verb, mi allungo, and before the auxiliary: mi sono allungato. It attaches to commands, allungati, and to the infinitive and the gerund. A ban to tu has two orders: non allungarti / non ti allungare.

Lei, the polite you, takes the form of lui / lei: Lei parla.

After essere, the participle agrees with the subject: andato, andata, andati, andate.
