- er / sie / es geht um
- wir gehen um
- ihr geht um
- sie / Sie gehen um
to deal with something
Strong verb, separable, auxiliary sein.
Two conjugations
The conjugation of umgehen changes with its meaning. As in these tables: Sie ist gut mit dem Druck umgegangen. In the other meaning: Wir haben den Stau umgangen.
Separable: um
In a main clause, um goes to the end: er geht … um. It stays joined in a subordinate clause (…, dass er umgeht), in the participle umgegangen, and with zu: umzugehen.
sie / Sie: they, and Sie, the polite you, take the same form: sie fahren, Sie fahren.
Enough to talk about now, your plans, and what you did.
What is happening now, habits, and plans: morgen fahre ich.
The everyday past in speech: haben or sein plus the participle.
Orders, requests, and advice. Du and ihr are not said; wir and Sie come after the verb.
