Präsens
What is happening now, habits, and plans: morgen fahre ich.
- wir lernen uns kennen
- ihr lernt euch kennen
- sie / Sie lernen sich kennen
to get to know each other
Weak verb, separable, reflexive, accusative, auxiliary haben.
Separable: kennen
In a main clause, kennen goes to the end: sie lernen sich … kennen. It stays joined in a subordinate clause (…, dass sie sich kennenlernen), in the participle kennengelernt, and with zu: kennenzulernen.
Each other
Here sich, uns, and euch mean each other, so the verb is used in the plural.
sie / Sie: they, and Sie, the polite you, take the same form: sie fahren, Sie fahren.
Enough to talk about now, your plans, and what you did.
What is happening now, habits, and plans: morgen fahre ich.
The everyday past in speech: haben or sein plus the participle.
Orders, requests, and advice. Du and ihr are not said; wir and Sie come after the verb.
