Strong verb, separable, auxiliary haben.

  • Separable: hoch

    In a main clause, hoch goes to the end: er nimmt … hoch. It stays joined in a subordinate clause (…, dass er hochnimmt), in the participle hochgenommen, and with zu: hochzunehmen.

sie / Sie: they, and Sie, the polite you, take the same form: sie fahren, Sie fahren.
