Work in

travailler dans

Regular verb, phrasal verb.

  • Phrasal verb: in

Only work changes; in stays the same: worked in, worked in.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before in, as the card writes it: work something in. A pronoun always does: work it in.

In speech, the helping verbs shorten: I’m, he’s, we’re, I’ve, I’ll, I’d.
