Conjugation

Throw in

jeter quelque chose dedans; ajouter quelque chose

Irregular verb, phrasal verb.

  • Phrasal verb: in

Only throw changes; in stays the same: threw in, thrown in.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before in, as the card writes it: throw something in. A pronoun always does: throw it in.

In speech, the helping verbs shorten: I’m, he’s, we’re, I’ve, I’ll, I’d.
