Throw back

rejeter

Irregular verb, phrasal verb.

  • Phrasal verb: back

Only throw changes; back stays the same: threw back, thrown back.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before back, as the card writes it: throw oneself back. A pronoun always does: throw them back.
