Conjugation

Swap out

remplacer quelque chose par autre chose

Regular verb, phrasal verb.

  • Phrasal verb: out

Only swap changes; out stays the same: swapped out, swapped out.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before out, as the card writes it: swap something out. A pronoun always does: swap it out.

In speech, the helping verbs shorten: I’m, he’s, we’re, I’ve, I’ll, I’d.
