Conjugation

Send back

renvoyer

Irregular verb, phrasal verb.

Conjugated like spend, build, bend, lend, rebuild, half-send

  • Phrasal verb: back

Only send changes; back stays the same: sent back, sent back.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before back, as the card writes it: send something back. A pronoun always does: send it back.

In speech, the helping verbs shorten: I’m, he’s, we’re, I’ve, I’ll, I’d.

Underlined: the stem is not the infinitive’s.
