Conjugation

Keep in

garder à l'intérieur

Irregular verb, phrasal verb.

  • Phrasal verb: in

Only keep changes; in stays the same: kept in, kept in.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before in, as the card writes it: keep something in. A pronoun always does: keep it in.

In speech, the helping verbs shorten: I’m, he’s, we’re, I’ve, I’ll, I’d.
