Have back

soutenir

Irregular verb, phrasal verb.

  • Phrasal verb: back

Only have changes; back stays the same: had back, had back.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before back, as the card writes it: have someone's back. A pronoun always does: have them back.

In speech, the helping verbs shorten: I’m, he’s, we’re, I’ve, I’ll, I’d.

Underlined: the stem is not the infinitive’s.
