Check out

aller voir; découvrir

Regular verb, phrasal verb.

  • Phrasal verb: out

Only check changes; out stays the same: checked out, checked out.

  • Object in the middle

The object can go before out, as the card writes it: check oneself out. A pronoun always does: check them out.

In speech, the helping verbs shorten: I’m, he’s, we’re, I’ve, I’ll, I’d.
